Flat pack units are available for this item. So should If you be confident enough to attempt to fit a new kitchen sink, you can buy the whole thing in one trip.
The pack should contain the following:
A Cabinet.
Stainless Steel Bowl (includes the drainer at each side).
Two Hole Mixer Tap, and all the parts that make up the U bend trap.
Should you not be very practical minded, then it is a good idea to call on the services of a professional plumbing company like Barking Plumbers who can fit new sinks.
Method:
The water should be already isolated.
The unit should be initially offered up to the hole in the sink top to confirm that it will actually fit. Do this by actually putting the new unit into the gap where the old unit sat and check the perimeter. If there are no gaps, then it is ok to carry on. The new sink unit should ideally have around a half-inch overlap of edge of the hole. You should use caulk or silicone sealer to make the seal around the rim of the new unit. A Barking Plumber will do this job.
1). Put the new sink unit in place in the hole so that it sits level. You should keep measuring around the edge throughout the process and check for any anomalies.
2). It is now time to put the clamps on. The clamps should be able to hook into the grooves in the new unit and clamp it onto the underneath of the new unit securing it. Don’t be miserly with these clamps and use enough to ensure that the sink is solidly fitted.
3). With the new sink in place, check once again for level and gaps. If any sealant has been squeezed out, you should wipe away with old cloths. Visually inspect that the sealant is uniform all the way around the new unit. There should be enough to keep it waterproof but not too much to make it look shoddy.
4). Connect up the plumbing, including the new u-bend and mixer tap.
5). Turn on water supply and check for correct operation and any leaks
